Markings: The barrel is marked " Winchester Model 61 .22 Win Mag RF, Winchester Trademark made in U.S.A.". The Winchester Proof's are on top of the barrel and receiver. There serial number is on the barrel and receiver and there is an "A" on the underside of the receiver.

Barrel Length: 24"

Sights: The front sight is a blade in a dovetail slot. The rear sight is an elevator sight in a dovetail slot, the elevator is present.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are in good servicable condition. The forestock is very good plus condition with just a few handling marks, the buttstock while in good condition has a few scratches and mars but no major cracks or losses.

Type of Finish: Blue

Finish Originality: All original

Overall Condition: The overall condition is excellent plus with a very good barrel and good stocks. The action is smooth. The metal surfaces are crisp. Overall, the rifle would rate about 95%+, with wear limited almost exclusively to the wood.

Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with sharp and deep rifling.

Mechanics: The action functions properly. The takedown is functional and locks up tight.

Box: There is no box.

Our Assessment: This is a great condition high quality .22 Magnum Winchester rifle and is one of the last 100 Model 61's made.

We will be at the Vegas Antique Arms show when this auction closes. We will invoice you the Monday following the auctions close and if you’d like to send payment sooner, the shipping price is listed in the auction and you can email us for an address.

Returns (less shipping) are accepted within 3 days of when the item is delivered with signature confirmation. Returns are very costly for both the buyer and for us, so please ask all of your questions before bidding and please be sure you can legally purchase this item.

Insured shipping will cost $35 to an FFL or C&R.

Layaways are offered, requiring a 20% non refundable down payment within 7 days of the auction’s close and the balance within 60 days. No returns are accepted on Layaway items. Otherwise, full payment is required within 14 days.

Your gun will be shipped within 1 week of receipt of payment, usually the next day and you will receive an email notification with a tracking number upon receipt of your payment to let you know that we have received it.

This gun can only be shipped to an FFL or C&R, and it will be shipped from an FFL. It is your responsibility to ensure that the gun is legal to own and receive in your area. Please include a copy of your dealer’s license with payment. We will need CLFD numbers for CA FFL’s to ship. We are FFL dealers and comply with all Federal, State and Local laws.
