This is Famous Badges of the Old West - Model PH085 - A replica of the badge used by the Lincoln County Regulators in New Mexico in the late 1870‘s. The Regulators of Lincoln County, New Mexico were formed in 1878 after the murder of rancher John Henry Tunstall by the corrupt Sheriff's posse. When the law refused to go after Tunstall's murderers, his ranch hands were deputized by the Justice of the Peace, forming a posse known as the Regulators. Thus began the Lincoln County War. They were given warrants to serve on the Sheriff's men, but as it turns out, they mostly served bullets. Famous Regulators included Billy the Kid, Frank MacNab, and Henry Newton Brown.

This replica Lincoln County Regulators badge is a shield style that measures approximately 2¾”. All shipments are made via USPS First Class Mail on Tuesday and Friday mornings, (UPS is NOT an option.) Payment by money order, cashier’s check or PayPal is preferred and will assure prompt shipment. We accept Visa, MC, Amex, Discover and E-Checks via PayPal.
