Description

Seller's Description:
My thanks goes out to Tom who gave me this information with permission to reprint it. Hello, I just wanted to tell you about this pistol. It was made by Norwich Falls Pistol Co from 1875 until the end of business 1881. It was sold in NY by the retailers Maltby, Curtis and Co. They were inexpensive revolvers. Prices at this time range from $200 to $300. Listed in the 1958 definitive text on " Suicide Specials", by Webster, ONLY a .22 version is recognized in the text. This happens to be a .32 Rim Fire. The current condition is very good, with about 99.9% of all finish. Manufacturer unknown, Serial # under grip unreadable. I was reading an interesting article in guns magazine.  It was about CCW and a North American Arms  like a S&W#1.  When I Googled S&W#1 I lucked into the site (Horst Held)  It is Similar to the  current mini revolver the North American Arms that fires Winchester magnum rim-fires.  But I can not say anything I can positively ID on the revolver but the word ROVER stamped into the top strap. The barrel measures a hair under .32 and the cylinder 5 .32 holes.  It works like a S&W#1 by pulling the cylinder pin the cylinder falls out for reload and is fixed back in by the pin. The mechanical operation of the revolver seems fine.
