Seller's Description: This gun clearly needs work, but I believe it will still make a good shooter. But, I don't want it back again, so there is no guarantee on this gun. I won't take it back again unless you can show that something is substantially wrong with the description. I don't want to cheat anyone, but I really don't want to mess with the extra shipping time and costs on this one. Bid accordingly, and ask questions before you bid. This is a Central Arms model 5100 made early in the 20th century I put savage 311 in the title because Central Arms was owned by Crescent Arms which was bought out by Savage/Stevens/Springfield. The new owners renamed the gun and just kept on making. Short version: this is a pre-311 made by the same company with a different name. All the parts are interchangeable as far as I can tell. Okay, bad news first: The butt stock is broken beyond repair; I don't even have all the pieces. And, the gun is rusty on top. No deep pits or weakened areas, but it is rough along the barrel rib. And, the trigger guard is a home made replacement. Everything else is original. And, the spring is gone from the locking lever. Now, the good news: It works:) The safety, both triggers, cocking mechanism, ejectors, etc. all work. All it needs is a spring and a stock which are available from Numrich. The stock is tenite. So, if you want to save your now-collectible model 311, but still want to shoot a 311, you can buy this one because you aren't going to cry when it gets dropped or scratched. All that has already been taken care of:) It has 25 inch barrels and says "forged steel" on the barrel. The receiver is stamped '5100' and 'Central Arms Co. over St. Louis, Mo." The chamber is 3 inch, and the fore end is in pretty good shape, scratched, but not cracked or discolored. So, put your collectible back in the safe, and grab this old fixer-upper for the back seat of the truck. Or let your clumsy brother-in-law borrow this one for the next squirrel hunt- he can't mess it up. Check my feedback, and bid with confidence. I will need an FFL or C&R to ship to. If you live near Altus, Oklahoma, you can just come pick it up if you want. I don't have an FFL, so make sure your guy is okay with getting a gun from an ordinary citizen. I will include a copy of my ID with the gun for his records. Shipping will be $25.00 in the lower 48, more for Hawaii and Alaska. Please ask any questions before you bid, and please don't ask me to break any laws. It just isn't worth it. I don't expect this one to go very high, but if it does, and you want to arrange a payment plan, we can do that. Just email me. Thanks for looking. Payment and Shipping Instructions:
