NOTE - NOT A GUN PART. It is a scarce old original US 1918 dated large tin plated steel military eating utensil spoon, for in the field use. Not a mess-hall spoon. Measures 7 + 1/2 inches long, Marked - U.S. 1918 with original inspector marks. Has fancy U.S. and NO HOLE IN HANDLE, most unlike the more common WW-2 + later Viet Nam spoons. Can deliver a good mouthful. Not dainty. Also well suited for Civil War re-enactors, since no hole in handle. From old W. Stokes Kirk, of Philadelphia, 1876-1974. Good solid use-able condition, some understandable cleanable rust spots. Steel wool + motor oil can make fast work of this easy-clean. NEARLY 100 YEARS OLD.
