Also, exact perfect fit for all 1873-1893 45-70 Trapdoors, if shortened slightly. The Trapdoor 45- 70 screws were actually shortened Civil War musket screws. You can easily shorten them by by grinding the ends slightly, + smoothing over with fine sandpaper. Fast + easy. This is the medium length of the 3 screws that go inside the lockplate, + hold the inside parts on. Proper name is- Bridle Screw. It holds the bridle on to the lockplate. Outstanding condition, near mint, perfect threads + nice slots. Due to the rising costs of Muskets + Trapdoors, many buyers are now requiring an OPEN LOCK INSPECTION before buying.
