Description

Seller's Description:
Original 1800`s steel BAYONET SCABBARD for US 1873-1884 TRAPDOOR 45-70 SPRINGFIELD, + fits 1855-1865 CIVIL WAR bayonets exactly. Also perfectly fits all 50-70 Trapdoor bayonets, 1865-1873. And, some Rolling Blocks. Measures just over 18 inches. It is the steel scabbard only, with no parts or leather attached. Can be easily added with scrap thick leather. Unbent, solid, decent, good condition, some understandable light sandable storage rust or pitting in places. Nicer than my other listed lower grade scabbard, + can still go into battle. IF your scabbard is missing, bent, damaged, gnarled, crushed, badly rusted, or just plain ghastly, horrid, + wretched, here is a rare outstanding opportunity to upgrade at a low price. Again,it also fits all US 1861-1865 Civil War socket bayonets perfectly, if you can`t get a rare leather scabbard, and also fits all US 50-70, + some Rolling Block socket bayonets. Well suited for decent bayonets. We have several of these better scabbards-will list them one at a time. your bid is for ONE, SELECTED, GOOD SOLID STRAIGHT CONDITION. Solid unbent ones are hard to find today. If you handle old bayonets it may be good, while these few decent old original scabbards are available, to have several on hand for later. You always get higher prices when a bayonet has a scabbard. From old W. Stokes Kirk,of Philadelphia, 1876-1974. Well worth a good price, if you can find one for sale. Start it LOW at 12.95. For a lower grade scabbard, to match a lower grade bayonet, for less money, please see other auction, "Bayonet Scabbard 1800`s Springfield #2" in Civil War Original Period Items category. Rare opportunity. Well worth MORE. Check, Mo to- MICHAEL BARNES . NO PAYPAL. No more pics, but let my 4,000+ stoneman61 ebay Feedbacks speak for me. Start this scabbard LOW at 12.95. Add 6.95 S+H. NO RESERVE. USA ONLY. Satisfaction Guaranteed. I ship FAST>
