Revolver offered is from an Estate. It is a Second Generation which appears to have been manufactured in 1977. This revolver is configured with a 5 ½” (Artillery) barrel and done in .45 Colt. The piece is factory correct with the exception of stag style grips which I suspect are of Jay Scott manufacture. Cosmetically the gun has lost most of the factory blue. There is a semblance of the color case hardening left on the frame. Most of the blue has been worn off or turned to patina. Mechanically it is incredibly tight. The cylinder times and indexes just like it is supposed to with absolutely no evidence of “Failure To Carry Up”. The bore is great. I have tried to take a decent picture of the inside of the pipe unfortunately my camera won’t do any better than the images you can see. The rifling is strong and the inside surfaces are extremely shiny. There are a couple of very small spots which are discolored which could be small pits. The spots are so small that I am uncertain what they are. The charge holes in the cylinder are perfect. Again, I tried to photograph them so the viewer can see the inside firing surfaces. Other than the grips, the gun has not been messed with. The frame, cylinder and receiver all bear the same serial number. The screw slots are all straight with the exception of the screw at the front of the ejector rod housing. There is a small bit of mis-alignment on one side of the screw slot which indicates someone got after it with a common mechanics screwdriver. All the rest are clean and straight so I am comfortable no one has been inside the gun. The original owner used an electric pencil engraver to record identification numbers on the floor of the cylinder gap. Even though they cannot be seen unless the cylinder is removed and lightly done, they are still there. Gun comes with a Safariland #42 holster. Darn nice old working gun revolver. It is definitely a shooter and will give great service.

Weapon is to be transferred through an FFL holder. Winner pays only the actual shipping fees as I am not into making money using the “Flat Rate” thing. Once I learn the shipping information I will create an estimate + a few bucks to be certain. Once the weapon is shipped I will return any unused funds by next day mail and email scanned copies of the shipping documents to the winner. I greatly prefer to use the Post Office as they won’t simply drop the package of on the doorstep and leave it. In addition, they are often times less expensive than FedEx and UPS. Having made that point, I will use any express service the winner prefers. Personal checks are absolutely welcome as long as the winner understands I will have to withhold shipping until certain the check has cleared. Certified checks/money orders get next day service.
