NRA Modern Grade: Good+++ or 80%, Colt Officer Match 38 Special 6" bbl in excellent working condition, fairly tight lock up, no end play, no push off, trigger smooth and crisp 5# pull, bore bright and strong and clean. See 3 round test fire target of misc. handloads 25' offhand with zero hold. Blue is around 90% with holster wear in various places most notably muzzle, also outside edge of muzzle shows a ding, see photo. RH side of bbl under Colt mfg line shows scraping down to the bright. This was carried by a State Police in the 60's - 70's as a backup, really sounded like it was the actual duty piece, so has seen some duty wear. Upon pulling the grips off I discovered a piece of tape placed to tighten grip or dampen recoil, so I cleaned, oiled and replaced the tape, you will not find any surprises under the grips. Serial number: 909381, cannot confirm actual mfg date since it was police issue, so C&R unless you can prove date of mfg to me for record I will be shipping to FFL at cost depending upon location, not to exceed $18.00 to anywhere legal USA, void where prohibited.
