Pietta Model 1858 Remington .44 cal. Black Powder Revolver
You are bidding on a F.lli Pietta Model 1858 Remington .44 cal. Black Powder Revolver, blued steel frame with an 8 inch octagon barrel. It had the brass trigger guard and walnut grip panels. There are some minor scratches, normal turn ring and small dents in the grip panels. The bore is excellent, no corrosion in the barrel or chambers. The action is excellent as well, smooth and tight. OAL ~13 ¾”. Weight ~ 2.5 lbs. We rate this revolver 95%+.

About 50% of our sales are completed via the Haggle. In a Reserve auction if the high bidder does not reach the reserve buy to end the auction the high bidder or the seller may institute what Auction Arms calls a Haggle a one-on-one exchange between buyer and seller to try and come to a mutual agreement on a price. Most Black Powder arms are defined by BATF as Antiques: Antique Firearm Definition………….. "18 USC 921 (a)(16). (A) any firearm (including any firearm with a matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap, or similar type of ignition system) manufactured in or before 1898; and (B) any replica of any firearm described in subparagraph (A) if such replica -- (i) is not designed or redesigned for using rimfire or conventional centerfire fixed ammunition, or (ii) uses rimfire or conventional centerfire fixed ammunition which is no longer manufactured in the United States and which is not readily available in the ordinary channels of commercial trade."
Even though this revolver is classified as an Antique we prefer to ship only to a licensed C&R or FFL Dealer. Shipments to IL, NJ, NYC or WA will only be to a licensed firearms dealer. For other states since this is a Black Powder firearm (antique) we do have a "waiver" form and we will ship to the transferee directly once we have a signed "waiver" and proof of age 18 years or older (copy of your valid driver’s license or birth certificate) and residency (a copy of your valid driver’s license). We will not ship to a P.O. Box.
Buyer pays for shipping which includes packaging, insurance & carrier fees. Payment can be Money Order, Cashier’s Check or Personal Check which must clear before shipping (allow 10 days), NO Credit Cards, Pay-Pal or Gun-Pal. Shipping is by UPS insured, delivery confirmation with adult signature (or other method chosen by the shipper) with an estimated cost of approx. $15.00 to $20.00 depending on packaged weight, your address within your ZIP Code (if by UPS) and insured value.
