German Copy Stevens .22 Tgt Pistol

The Stevens Arms Co. was

one of the most prolific

makers of target pistols and rifles from the 1860s-

through the 1930s. It made everything from diminutive .22 single-shot pistols, bicycle pistols/rifles with skeleton stocks, small frame through large frame rifles, all single shot.

This faithful modern rendition of one of the company's last single shot pistols - the Stevens "Favorite" was made by the well known firm of J.P. Sauer of

Germany and was sold through Hawes Firearms Co. The single shot pistol has an 8" round barrel, blued finish, nickelled frame, target rear sight and hooded front sight. The gun appears to have been used very little if at all. Just a few tiny use marks on barrel.
