This is from my personal collection. I am selling so I can gain funds to purchase another item to add to my collection. I am not a dealer & am still a fairly newbie collector, so have no idea what this is other than a flintlock pistol that I assume to be either turkish or arabic in origin, but that's solely a guess based on that I think it has a turkish/arabic or other middle easter look/feel to it. The wood appears to be in great condition, though I'd say the metal is fair, but being newbie in this hobby, perhaps others may think poor. I took several pictures. Feel free to ask questions, or even advise me of pertinent or helpful info.
This old flintlock pistol I think is probably late 1700s, but that's a guess too.. the lock is pitted, there's surface rust on barrel & lock in spots & also I notice some spot welds or other type of repair. The furniture is brass, but seems crude in construction throughout.. the wood is inlaid with some wire.
I can't see any markings anywhere, nor do I know if it is original or not.
Ok, well, up until now when I seen this picture below, I thought this was a real flintlock, etc, as an antique dealer assured me that it was authentic when they sold it to me, but now I see a screw down the barrel & this just pissed me off.. unless of course someone made some crude repair, I don't know, but so I don't piss anyone off like that dishonest antiques dealer that screwed me, I am selling this as a fake, or what you call a non firing replica.. would not fire if it were not replica at any rate, but let's assume this is an aged or crude replica.
See screw down there in the barrel
Starting bid is less than what I paid for this, & the Buy it Now is what I paid for it, which I find unfair considering I just found that damn screw in the barrel & again, I know nothing of this piece, so to be on the safe side, it is being sold as non firing replica or a crude fake, which is probably is.
Check my other listings as I'l be liquidating several items from my personal collection.
