Buyer Tip: If you're the High Bidder in an auction when it closes, don't assume you're the final High Bidder. Someone could outbid you in the final seconds of the auction if your Max Bid isn't high enough. You're not the High Bidder until you've been notified by email that you are. All Auctions are conducted in Pacific Standard Time.

Description

Seller's Description:

Your bidding on a very interesting Maynard rifle. O/A length 40 3/4", 24" .22 cal. bbl., About a 14" military style stock with patch box. Stock is very clean leaving no signs of military cartouches? Interesting S/N 5173, Sporting buttplate shows about 70% even wear nickel remaining, Patchbox about 10-15%. Some dark nickel on receiver (left side) pics. should show flaking. Bore is quite worn, showing rifling however. The gun is very tight and well made. Take down lever on right side works but the locking screw is dinged up. At this time I'm not going to try fixing it. I will have more pics for the truely interested buyers. This a very interesting conversation piece! out of my league/area! Very nice piece for 150 years old + or - !! NOTE: I replace the extractor as shown.
