This is a Colt Model 1911, in .45 ACP, that was made in 1918. It rates at NRA Good condition. It is black finished gun as found on some 1918 made guns. The gun has widely scattered, very shallow, fine pits, but they are smooth and do not affect the function of the gun. This gun is all original and has all of the original markings on it. This gun has the scarce heart shaped cutouts beneath the grips. The gun functions perfectly, with a VERY tight action. The bore is great. The original holster and belt rig are also included as shown. The holster is a Warren Leather Goods made in 1917. The belt even has the loop for attachment of a saber. This is a neat old piece with alot of character, that will make a GREAT shooter. All sales, unless noted, require a valid signed FFL, or C&R. Feedback is ALWAYS posted on receipt of payment and shipping details. We accept faxed FFL's as well as C&R's (if the gun is qualified within the latest BATFE definition of "original configuration"). ALL faxed C&R's or FFL's MUST have the auction number inscribed upon it. Failure to provide identification of the particular firearm on the FFL WILL result in delays. ALL AUCTIONS MUST BE PAID FOR WITHIN SEVEN (7) DAYS OF CLOSE UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE, NO EXCEPTIONS!! All payments sent through the mail must be postmarked no later then seven (7) days after close of auction.
Items requiring proof of age will need to have a faxed or mailed copy of any goverment issued photo ID that has name, photo, and date of birth visible.As of 1 July, 2008, ALL shipments of firearms to the state of California will require a CADOJ Firearms Shipment Approval letter, unless it is a C&R long gun being shipped to a C&R holder. C&R handguns won by C&R holders in CA must be sent to an 01 FFL holder. Pete's will apply for the Shipment Letter, but it is the BIDDER'S responsibility to make sure any gun they bid on is acceptable into the State of California. ALL guns that are won by California bidders and are REJECTED by the CADOJ, will earn the bidder a negative feedback. Pete's will also NOT be responsible for any time delays incurred by this onerous requirement of the CADOJ. ALL bidders who win a non C&R firearm and expect it to be shipped into California are REQUIRED to obtain a CL (Centralized List) number from their dealer to provide to Pete's at time of payment. ALL of the above is required to take place within the same 7 day payment window. All transactions are undertaken with the express requirement that the buyer is responsible for adherance to all state and local ordinances. Pete's will undertake all efforts to ensure complaince with the buyer's state and local law, for example, C&R handguns can only be sent to 01 FFL holders in some states such as CA and NY, but the final determination of compliance is by the buyer, and is his/her responsibility alone.

Shipping:

We use a flat shipping rate of $35 for all long arms/rifles and $17 for all handguns. All shipments are sent by USPS Priority Mail for handguns, and UPS Ground for long guns. Any C&R handgun being sent to a C&R holder will be required to be sent via UPS Second Day Air which will cost $35. All shipments are insured at zero cost to the customer as insurance cost is borne by the seller, not the customer. All long arms/rifles are shipped in a hard case at no additional charge than is previously stated. Alaska and Hawaii will incur additional charges, please check before bidding.
We inspect all weapons for condition and mechanical operation, however, we do NOT, repeat, NOT test fire any of the weapons. We allow for a three day, NON FIRING, NON DISASSEMBLY, inspection period after arrival at your transfer dealer. Any applicable refunds will NOT include shipping cost unless reason for return is the fault of the seller. Any buyer wishing to return a purchase MUST communicate such during the three day inspection period. If you have any questions please call us and ask.

We also have a Manufacturer's FFL and Class III SOT in Vermont, so we can also do transfers direct to you in that state, for handguns and long guns, or long guns for any state there as well, make sure you ask us about that!
