Seller's Description:

If you are partial to side by sides this Stevens (Savage Arms) Model 311 Series H is in exceptional condition. It is a boxlock hammerless design with 28” ribbed barrels (Full & Mod.). The case color frame, blue barrels & trigger guard are like new, not a mark on them, finish is 100%. The bores are in mint condition. The action is very tight and shows it was not fired much (see photos). The assy. numbers all match and based on our research on the internet it appears this gun was made in the mid 1970’s (discontinued in 1989). When we received this gun it had a rubber (Red Head) butt pad/cover that was in poor condition. We removed it and found that the butt plate was missing. We got a new one from Numrich. It needs some fitting (instructions included). The checkered stock is in very fine condition, no bruises and only one scratch. It appears to have the beginnings of a crack on the right side, down low, behind the frame (see photo). It may be just on the surface, however, any good craftsman, gunsmith/stock maker could tell & easily repair if necessary. The forestock has just a few light bruises and the finish is 100%. The stocks wood finish is in good condition overall. There is some discoloration where the old rubber cover was. We worked on it a little; however, it needs a little more care. The LOP is 14 ½” – 13 ½” and OAL is 44 ½”. This will make someone a really nice double barrel.

We do not disclose the Reserve on our “RESERVE AUCTIONS” because doing so defeats the purpose of the auction. Disclosing makes it a “Sale”, not an auction, much like a classified listing. Most of the firearms we offer at auction are on consignment with us from one of our clients. Our commitment to our clients is to obtain the highest fair market price possible for their firearms. Thus, we prefer the Reserve Auction and the “HAGGLE” feature offered by Auction Arms. About 50% of our sales are completed via the Haggle. In a Reserve auction if the high bidder does not reach the reserve buy to end the auction the high bidder or the seller may institute what Auction Arms calls a Haggle a one-on-one exchange between buyer and seller to try and come to a mutual agreement on a price. If you are not familiar with the Haggle process, click on Auction Arms “Help & Info” for complete details. For those items that are not on consignment we usually offer a convenient “Buy-It-Now” price.

We are GOLDEN BEAR SERVICES, INC., a Federally Licensed Firearms Dealer. We list on our auctions a variety of offerings including firearms, ammunition, reloading tools & supplies and other accessories we pick up from clients who are interested in liquidating their firearms collections. We are also stocking dealers in a variety of “Mil Spec” manufacturers of quality AR15 & AR10 firearms and accessories including Uppers, Lowers, Parts Kits, barrels, stocks, mags, complete firearms and anything else we think you might be interested in.

To view all of our auctions just click on the Gold Bear.

Buyer is solely responsible for determining that a used gun is safe to shoot. The firearms offered have not been test fired. Whether purchased here or somewhere else we urge every buyer to have any used firearm they purchase inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing.
