Seller's Description:
price reduced!!! U.S.Springfield model 1884 "trapdoor" rifle cal. 45/70. Only 1003 of this model with the expermental round rod bayonet were ever produced. Serial number 53417. Rifle is all origional and correct, metal retains 70% of the origional bluing and strong case colors on the breechblock. The stock is clearly cartouched 1891 and is in fine condition with no cracks or chips and almost all of the finish. A very high condition example of a rare model trapdoor not offered for sale for over 35 years. Will need copy of Driver's License, will ship to your door.
