Comments: I offered a HAGGLE for this gun, and BUYER accepted the HAGGLE. He then emailed me stating that he pushed the wrong button and that he did not want the gun. This feedback is left as required to receive credit for the FINAL VALUE FEE.

Comments: The gun was as represented except for the wood. Someone had re-varnished, or applied an extra coat of something to all the wood. When discussed with the seller, he claimed he never noticed. In my humble opinion, you'd have to be nearly blind not to have seen the refinish attempt.

Comments: The product was as advertised BUT... The seller has some issues with packing a product. This item was substansial price and was simply wrapped in bubble wrap and put in a box much to large with no filler material (such as newspaper) to keep item from bouncing and getting beat back and forth.

Rebuttal: Ive package guns for year and years and never has one been damaged. I double bubble wrape with tough boxes and peanuts when needed. On very expensive guns i use hard case. Thanks for reading this Ken

Comments: Model 94(pre 64) was promptly mailed as promised. Description indicated 90% bluing on barrel, which is about right. Bluing on receiver & lever indicated as 70%; however, I feel it should have been no more than 65%. As indicated action is sound & tight and bore is in good shape as noted. The wood is also good, as indicated. There is some minor pitting on the receiver, lever, and barrel which was not noted in the description. This gun was in need of a thorough cleaning, inside and out, especially the bore. Personally, I think owners should insure firearms receive an average cleaning before shipment (just a good business practice). Overall, the rifle is mechanically above average for its age (1951) and the neglect suffered over the years. According to the description,I had anticipated this gun to be in better shape aesthetically.
